If simply force-closing the app and booting it back up again doesn’t help, I’d recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the app again to make sure that it’s fully updated and reset.
After this, you’ll need to go through account recovery to regain access to the account - which you’ll see the option for under “I already have an account”.
Be sure to keep your ID handy as the app will need a scan of that, as well as the email associated with your account.
